![]() ![]() You have to remain very nimble in this place because your job will not be static. ![]() I don't know if this is really a con, but it might be for some. we have a new one who's doing very well along with the introduction of a more mentor-oriented onboarding approach. We were without a technical trainer for a while, and that hurt. Everyone feels it as the management does their very best to keep the stress off of engineers while they make solid strides to get ahead on the hiring front and reduce the friction of oonboarding. Logicworks continues to navigate how to staff up and onboard the new staff quick enough to handle the increasing load that so many new clients bring. It's been a good bit longer than that now, and my appreciation for the company - and especially it's people and culture - has only increased. I wanted to wait for at least a year before writing my review to make sure the place really was as good as it seemed in the beginning. The quarterly all-staff meetings really bring us all up to date with where the company is going. Ken, their CEO, models a servant-leader approach that trickles right down the leadership chain. Logicworks has hands down the best company I've worked for or meaningfully engaged with. I've worked at numerous companies, and in a previous role worked closely inside the offices of many more companies. They maintain something of a start up mindset that translates to meaningful flexibility and great opportunities to cross train, work on interesting projects and grow. It's been an exciting time of growth and momentum. Though Logicworks has been around as a company for decades, their entrance into the public cloud space is much more recent. Probably most significant to me is that new recruits into management have embraced and advanced the company's great culture. The longer I work here the more impressed I am at the caliber of people the company continues to attract. However, the software has some limitations, such as limited functionality and saving disabled. The people are Logicwork's greatest asset. There is also a thorough 400+ page printed manual provided. The customer support provided for this software is quite impressive, including free updates and supplements via the Internet. The software comes with built-in support for RAMs, ROMs, and PLAs, whereas sophisticated multi-state simulation supports high and low drive levels, "don't know" values, three-state and wired-AND logic. All primitive logic elements are scalable and can be constructed as a single element. Also, the software has a thorough library of built-in primitive simulation elements for all common digital elements. You can group any collection of signals into a single timing trace with value displayed in hex. LogicWorks allows you to display any number of signals simulataneously in the timing diagram. Simulation is one of the key features of this software. There are pop-up menus that provide immediate access to critical commands from anywhere on the diagram. You can create your device symbols and customize their simulation function by defining an internal circuit using existing components. The software automatically detects signal line connections, and the editing features are relatively simple. ![]() There are various benefits associated with using LogicWorks, including schematic editing that allows you to cut, copy, and paste any group of circuit elements. Thus, students can employ their personal copy of LogicWorks on their Macintosh or Windows computer, design circuits, and transfer them to DesignWorks for integration, analysis, and testing in the lab. Additionally, LogicWorks is upwardly compatible with DesignWorks, Capilano's professional package. This software is so user-friendly that students can create and test circuits in minutes without spending valuable lab time. LogicWorks is an innovative package that leverages the power, speed, and flexibility of digital design to enable you to learn advanced concepts more quickly and clearly. It is the best tool for digital design, with unique capabilities that make it quicker and simpler to create and test an infinite number of circuit elements on-screen. LogicWorks is a software tool designed to make digital circuit design easier and more interactive for teaching and learning digital logic. ![]()
